Cinecittà World is a film and TV theme park in Castel Romano, just south of Rome. It has more than 40 attractions and six live shows a day, from the Altair roller coaster and the U-571 submarine set to gentler rides for younger kids. About Cinecittà World

Themed street inside Cinecittà World

The park stands on the site of the old Dinocittà studios, which producer Dino De Laurentiis opened in the 1960s. Sergio Leone shot Spaghetti Westerns here, and the lot still hosts film and TV work.

The sets were designed by Dante Ferretti, winner of three Academy Awards. You enter through the Cabiria gate onto Cinecittà Street, lined with 1920s New York facades. From there the park branches into Roma, Spaceland, Far West, Adventure Land and the Aqua World water area.

Cinecittà World: Operating Hours

On most opening days Cinecittà World runs from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and rides operate from 11:15 AM until 15 minutes before closing. Some dates have longer hours, and the park stays open late for Halloween Nights and New Year's Eve.

Things To Know Before Visiting Cinecittà World

There are six live shows every day, and their times shift with that day's opening hours.

Same-day re-entry isn't included. If you leave the park, you'll need a new ticket to get back in.

Leave bikes, scooters, skateboards, folding chairs and parasols at home, as they aren't allowed inside. Strollers and wheelchairs are fine.

Credit and debit cards are accepted across the park, and there are ATMs both inside and outside the gates.
